Portable and rock solid
I started out with a really old, used model 460 many years ago. Even though it looked like it had been through a war, it worked perfectly.
Eventually I treated myself to a brand new one, and later added the model 425. These purchases were great investments.
The Ridgid Tristands are super durable, super heavy duty made and just a pleasure to use.
I've never had a single problem with any of my tristands.
One time during a pretty bad construction accident, my 425 got shoved around and was buried. When it was finally recovered it just had some scratches and had lost 2 of its rubber feet. I called Ridgid and they sent me a pack of the feet for free..

Love the portability
The slice handle on the middle post is the greatest improvement from the old style pipe vise.

Heavy duty. Nice and portable
We use this all the time for all sorts of stuff in addition to cutting and threading. I would not be able to get by without it. Totally heavy duty and we abuse it every day.

This is a great portable stand to setup and move job to job as needed. If your in construction and thread pipe you probably already own one.

Please let us know which pipe stand would be more suitable for use along with TRISTAND® Chain Vises , Catalouge No: 36278, Model No 460-12
I had shortlisted the following two modesl, please sugest the better option for use with the Model 460-12
a) Pipe Stand -56662 – Model No V-99, V Head High Pipe Stand
b) Pipe Stand -56657– Model No VF-98, V Head Low Pipe Stand
The main difference between the VF and VJ models is the legs fold on the new VF-99 Folding Pipe Stand (Cat No 22168) making it easy to transport and requiring 70% less area to store. The difference between the VJ-98 and the VJ-99/VF-99 is the height adjustment specifications. The VJ-98's height adjustment from Low - High would be 20-38 inches. The VF-99/VJ-99 height adjustments from Low - High would be 28-52 inches.
