Which size?
I will be working with 1-1/4" schedule 40 PVC pipe, which I understand has a 1.66" outer diameter. Should I buy model 72 or 73?
Thanks for contacting RIDGID. The #72 reamer will be sufficient for 1-1/4” pipe. It is made to ream up to 1-1/2” pipe which has an O.D. of 1.90”. Does this bevel PVC?
I am looking for something to put a bevel on the outside edge of PVC DWV pipe, to help the pipe glue into a fitting more securely. I typically use 1-1/2" through 4" ID pipe. Thanks!
Thanks for contacting RIDGID! These de-burring tools are not designed to bevel the end of PVC pipe. Their function is to just remove the burr that’s left over on the inner and/or outer end of the pipe after it has been cut.
