This product works great when you finally received itI ordered this chain snap over a month ago and after speaking with representives for ridgid and promised 2 dates that it would be delivered (both were wrong) I finally received the tool. They are excellent working on a ladder and in tight spots. The only thing I don't like is if you put the chain on and you don't have a lot of slack in it they bust the pipe.

Shorter handle makes easier to use then othersAs a plumber often time there is not a whole lot of room underneath a house or trench the shorter handle makes easier for use the snap chain lines up better than the long handle pair Q&A plumbing. Patrick Martin upland ca.

Thank you for contacting Ridgid. Soil pipe cutters are designed to cut cast iron pipe. They will not work on copper or steel pipe.
