What sizes and materials are available for pipe and bolt dies? Bolt button dies cover UNC/UNF diameters from 1/4 inch up to 1 inch (6 mm up to 25 mm) and beyond depending on the threader model. Lay the head numbers-up, move the throwout lever to OPEN, loosen the clamp lever, slide the washer tongue to the end of the slot, insert dies with the numbered edge up to the indicator line matching slot numbers, return the washer tongue, then align the link/index mark to the desired size and tighten.
