This one is made in Belgium and took some doing to get. Durability is unknown at this time, used once so far but I also know I will need it again soon....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job with ease I had a blockage 14' in on the kitchen drain line, hair and grease. My hand drain snake wouldn't penetrate the blockage. I know the quality of Rigid tools; having owned many over the years. The K-45 hit the blockage , hesitated but for a moment, and pushed through. Made for one happy wife. Good tools don't come cheap, but they last and usually take care of whatever job you may be working on with comparative ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy with the purchase. I wish I had bought one with 50ft. snake, since I only get 20' of use from a 25ft snake ! I have an Idea for cleaning & Oiling the used SNAKE ! ( 2 )1" x 10- ft. PVC Electrical Conduits, or more depending on the length of the Snake ! Attach a WYE at the feed end. At the WYE, install an adapter for a Garden Hose on the branch side, the other to the feed end of the Conduit. If you use the machine quite often, you can install a dual feed hose adapter with ball valves that would allow you to turn off the water,connect your wet/dry vac discharge to the other side & blow out the Snake until it is dry. Then use a couple of cans of WD-40, while retrieving the snake back from the conduit, spray continuous too thoroughly oil the Snake.Need to draw a diagram for better understanding.Tell me what you think !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tool should be in every mechanically inclined homeowners toolbox. It could pay for itself with it's first use !!! I bought this tool and the K-400 Sewer Snake when I got a $1500 estimate to clean my drain and sewer lines from a Roto Rooter company in the Memphis Tennessee area. I told him to get back in his truck. I then went and purchased both tools and did the job myself. I have a 3 bath home and it took nearly 8 hours to clean all my drains and sewer lines but the 2 tools did there job and asked for more. I don't suggest purchasing these specific tools for commercial work but a homeowner will not be disappointed.

I even was able to use it on a planter drain that was stuffed with rocks with some success. Now it is the first tool I reach for for drains less than 2.5 inches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pistol Rodder On The Market... I've been using the K-45AF style pistol rodders for almost 5 years now and they are hands down the best the market has to offer. The deal maker is the awesome autofeed that not only feeds the cable in the drain but also retrieves the cable without have to switch the machine to reverse. It also has a plastic inner drum for quick cable swaps and good fast RPM. About the only thing I'd like to see would be a Jacob's style chuck (while keeping the autofeed) to totally secure the cable on a future model :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice compact machine The forward and reverse is nice. Don't have to get hands dirty. The machine is very powerful. The 5/16 cable is sort of weak and can kink on you easily if you're not careful. I've had to replace a few cables because of this. I do like the 3/8 cable, much stronger.
